Apparently these posters were the hot topic of discussion on Adrian Kennedy (late night phone show) yesterday.
The ‘Keep it Northside’ billboard currently has 106 likes on the FM104 facebook. The ‘Keep it Southside’ has 78.
Both of the advertised websites on the billboards, KissD4.ie and Kins.ie, have a countdown timer which is currently shows there are 55 days left. To what? No one seems to be sure. But whatever happens on May 16, no doubt it will be an anti-climax.

There was one before this on the loopline bridge at Abbey street for Bulmers that said Northcider/Southcider.
“Always Look On The Northside For Shite, do do, do do do do do do “
I’d pick the Northside over that brand of Southsider. My idea of the southside is Inchicore, not Yummie Drummies on J1s.
FXR, that one is still up. North Cider Or South Cider? Like that one.
Given it’s FM104, it’s guaranteed shite. Probably from those two knob jockeys Jim Jim and Mark.
I think Jim Jim and Mark are dead. They were killed by a vicious outbreak of good taste..
The domains are registered to a company called Bang on Top Productions – it’s owned by the playwright Nicky Allt, who writes play about aliens bricking up tunnels under the Mersey (I think.)
Further googling brought me to http://www.in.castingcallpro.com/view.php?uid=230535, which has her next project as being with Bang on Top Productions in May 2011, something called “Blow Up the Liffey Bridges” at the Grand Canal Theatre. I’m guessing it’s in the same vein?
Nice bit of detective work there Odi! Not sure if the North Cider / South Cider hoardings are still up, even though I cycle past that spot nearly every day!
The Northcider Southcider billboard is still up. I got a few photos today. I’ll email them to DF later.
Have seen one of Nicky’s plays before. Very enjoyable. And by the way Nicky is a he, not a she 😉
