Patrick Galvin,the renowned Cork poet, writer and socialist, has passed away. Patrick wrote many great poems and songs, among them James Connolly. With this the anniversary of Connolly’s passing (May 12) I thought it fitting to post post Patrick Galvin’s rendition of the song and a rendition I’ve always found almost haunting from one of Dublin’s finest,the late Liam Weldon.
