I see The Lotts Cafe Bar on Liffey Street has got an external facelift. Included is a new piece of writing which suggests that The Lotts is “Dublin’s smallest bar”. The website suggests the same.
Surely this title is still held by The Dawson Lounge on Dawson Street?

Is the Dawson Lounge still open? think I saw it shut there a while ago. If I remember right it is in that Thomas Read group of pubs.
The Lotts is a much nicer bar though, my favourite place to act the barstooler.
Even if they are trying to claim they are the smallest “bar” rather than pub, they are still bullshitting. The Confession Box on Marlborough Street gets that accolade I reckon.
