Rumours abound on Boards.ie that Kennedy’s, a fantastic little pub, on George’s Quay has closed down.
Another victim of the recession? Can anyone shed any light?
Update: J. Kennedy’s Facebook page states that the bar is only closed for repairs.

Shit. Only been there a few times but a decent boozer.
Coincidentally, I was leaving Tara Street station the other day and noticed with wonder the HUGE cracks on the side wall of Kennedys.
I hope not – We need authentic pubs in Dublin now more than ever !

Heard it got flood damaged with snow.
It’s just closed for renovation. There was a little paper sign up but someone ripped it down. They better not turn it into a hotel lobby like every other pub in dublin. And the frank zappa bar man better be still there. Best dj ever.
Its opening again before Christmas. Same boozer and same feel to it.
Its open again.
Yippee.
It closed again a few months ago and has now reopened and is called The Workshop. I smell hipster.
Hi Europhile, I am involved in Kennedy’s /the workshop- we have been closed so as to install a kitchen and make some repairs. We are open again now and also offering food from next week and renovated the upstairs to use that as well. Please come in and would love to hear your comments. Hopefully you like it. Thanks Mossy
Is it under new management or what? Also, do you have any sample menus? Thanks.
