This month-long exhibition to celebrate International Women’s Day falling in March looks excellent, it will take place in the ever-hideous ILAC Centre. I look forward to attending, as I consider Hannah Sheehy-Skeffington to be one of the most interesting characters of the revolutionary period.

The Central Library ILAC Centre. The flagship library of the country’s busiest library service with a great range of services and decor that smacks of Soviet mental institutions. Where 70’s paint schemes go hand in hand with duct taped carpet, bad fluorescent lighting and shelves in garish green and outrageous orange. Not to mention the air quality.
At least they’re supposed to be moving to the Ambassador soon. Or were a few years ago anyway.
looking forward to this!! 🙂
I think she served with my grand-uncle on Dublin City Council.
A lot of the widows ended up on the Council still trying to advance their dead husband’s vision.
A very inspiring time.
Not like today.
I just checked my records and I have more follow up notifications for this blog than for any other.
Take a bow lads.
