So it seems the banks have taken another pub from us. The victim this time? Kate’s Cottage on the corner of Store Street and Amien’s Street. Its not a pub I’d frequent too often, although I was there to witness Keith Fahey’s first goal for the national side in that game against Armenia in late 2010 so I do have some fond memories of the place. Shame.

Maybe I is tyred but not balled!!
Lowgic defeats me.
Ah well the writing above didn’t appear first time, buck the fanks, filly suckers!!
I always felt an affinity with this place, given that I’m Kate.. Sad to see it go. I think it would be a great place for a bakery/coffee house. It’s got that cosy feel.
shucks did lovely grub in there and use to love the sunday night sing songs there at one time
I don’t think it was ever really a cottage in the real Irish cottagey sense..
In the near future parents will hope their children will grow up to marry liquidators and live their lives in financial security. Their houses will shine with the brass fittings, marble counter tops and mahogany of pubs long darkened.
They can take oor pubs, but they can never take our inability to drink!
