These fantastic advertisements have all been taken from the April 1933 edition of Dublin Opinion magazine. I’ve always had a fascination with old advertisements, and these are some of the more interesting ones in the pages of the magazine.

I’m a bit boggled by the Irish Hospital Sweeps one. Surely the charwoman depicted would not be able to afford a ten-shilling sweeps ticket!
not to mention the grammar, which should read “If I won…”
19 quid for a radio? That was a shedload of money back then, naybe 2 or 3 weeks wages
