Still without my camera, Canon have stolen it from me and holding it for a ransom I just can’t afford right now. So the camera on the phone it is, I’ve started taking pictures, and a simple thing like not actually having a camera at the moment isn’t going to stop me.
These Philo posters have been appearing all over town recently, someone said they had something to do with Whelans? Either way, the above gave me and Donal a laugh after our recent Crackbird feast.
Anyone know anything about these? They seem to be all over town, and knowing the price of stickers, the sheer amount of them means someone has spent a pretty penny on something lost on the majority of people!
“Locked out with us all.” With the Celtic Tiger came an influx of immigrants into this city, and amongst them, football fans and members of ultras groups from across Europe. The city is now covered in them; its good fun working out which ones belong to which teams, and which ones are worth taking a picture of (like the above) or which are worth tearing down. The above sticker has the St. Pauli look about it, so I’m accrediting it to them! VIVA.
Very little to be said about Damo and Maser that hasn’t been said before. Both amazing blokes and their collaboration was the best thing I’ve seen go on walls in this city in years.
I’ve taken to finishing off these posts with “moody” shots. I’m not going to stop now I’ve started.
An Tree Shock probably something to do with the privatisation of Coilte – look to the groups campaigning against that therefore – Bertie is involved with one of the companies likely to make a bid if I remember right – I would agree it is an oblique and obtuse piece of publicity.
The Tree Shock campaign was done by a group called Evenprime. The stickers were made to be easily removed rather than to be vandalism. The idea was that they’d jog the memory when the subject of Bertie Ahern and his interest in Ireland’s forestry was mentioned. There were a LOT of them around government buildings for a while.
